We've probably all seen the debris of plastic kicking around the beach. It's pretty gross, and it certainly takes away from the scenic beauty of the ocean. It also poses health risks for sea creatures, great and small. This type of litter does not bode well for a man, either.
You may be thinking, "I only saw one or two pieces of plastic rubbish on the beach. That must mean nothing compared to the vastness of the sea. "Well, you might think so, but all these little bits add up to something very, very serious.
in fact, whole sculptures can be created from this range.

The sculptures are not painted, either. There is enough waste in the ocean to cover all of their color needs.

sculptures are created under the Executive head artist Angela Haseltine Pozzi, and built by staff Washed Ashore (with a little help from community volunteers). Using only the things they have collected from the beach, they were able to build all kinds of massive sculptures, including a styrofoam coral reef, a model of an oil spill, and a model an ocean gyre passage. That sounds cool, but it also speaks to the enormous amount of waste that is thrown into the ocean every day.
