Bad days ... we all.
While we have our cheerful, chipper same for 364 days of the year, there will always be a day that is just a ruin. It is bound to happen.
Well, animals are like that, too. Even if some days happy-go-lucky most of the time, you should not just play with them. They get cranky too. Again, I am sure they are still 10x cuter than you or I when they get sour.
There are all the evidence you need! We are not the only ones attitudes days. Our furry friends are more than capable of throwing hissy FITS just like us. Perhaps the reason why the relationship between humans and animals is so great.
