There are many reasons not to disturb forests, especially because they are teeming with ticks. A tick bite itself is painless since ticks release analgesics their saliva. However, diseases transmitted by ticks are not laughing matter. Lyme disease, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, tularemia, and even rare ehrlichiosis can all be transmitted by tick bites.
A man came down with the virus last year that no scientist could not identify. He died 11 days after a tick made contact with his skin. Although this is the first case on record, experts say there may be more people who are infected, but do not know yet.
