Weddings are often traditional business, complete with fancy outfits, extravagant floral arrangements, gigantic cakes and fur zoo animals. Wait a minute ...
Okay, that last bit is not too trite yet, but one place in Japan is trying to make. Hotel Nasu in Tochigi Prefecture is located right next to a zoo with an adorable collection of alpacas.
Thanks to an upward trend in secular wedding ceremonies in Japan, Hotel Nasu worked with the nearby zoo to allow these fuzzy alpaca to serve as controls.
Nothing says "married happiness" quite like this ...
Unlike some animals, alpacas do not hold much importance in Japanese culture. They are so darn cute!

If you choose to get on board with this crazy trend, an alpaca trainer accompany fuzzy creature in the driveway before you and your soon-to be spouse.

Precious that this alpaca can be, these wedding guests have been known to leave behind unexpected gifts. After all, they are not exactly house-trained.

But imagine having this kind of ball at your wedding. Talk about going against the grain for your big day!

Although originally the first alpaca-witness wedding is unknown, it was probably made in response to a growing desire for less traditional weddings in Japan.

Can you imagine having a zoo animal serve as your witness? I thought the use of dogs as ring bearers was odd, but these dogs nothing about it!
