All children afraid of things that go bump in the night.
That being said, clowns visions killers, monsters under the bed, and creatures in the closet do not fade as we age, even if we say they do. We all know the feeling of our spiky hair when we descend into the dark basements and consider the possibility of an intruder on the lookout.
With the help of his own children, photographer based in Kansas City Joshua Hoffine gives the frightening images we create in our heads new life with his views on the horror of photography. Exploring the idea that the supposed fear loses its intensity as we age, it makes it very clear that the confrontation with these nightmares is as haunting as an adult as it was when we were kids.

As for how her children felt about the project, they loved being part of the work dad!
"It was like a giant game of dress-up for them," Hoffine told The Huffington Post. "They knew we were frightening images and liked the idea of frightening the audience as much as I did." If you want to see more work of this photographer, be sure to pay a visit his website.
