The crime does not pay, but this time he was not the judicial system that distributed the pain of a burglar. In Palm Bay, Florida, 22, Matthew Riggins - a suspected thief - was running from police when he decided to hide in Barefoot Bay Lake.
There, a hungry alligator and judiciously made a decision on his sentence. There was almost nothing left of the man when the police finally caught up.
On November 12, Matthew Riggins called his girlfriend to tell her he would "commit burglaries" in Brevard County. That was the last time she ever heard of him.

The Sheriff's Office was called to investigate two suspicious men in the night, and Riggins was one of them. When police gave chase, Riggins decided to hide near the Barefoot Bay Lake water.

Despite the surprising scarcity alligator attacks in Florida (just another attack took place this year), it is still probably not a good idea to get into any natural pools while visiting the Sunshine State. I can not imagine that this crocodile knew of the crimes that Riggins was about to commit, but he was sure not afraid of punishment.
