The world as we know it ending in a ball of flames with an asteroid thug is a fear that almost everyone who saw Armageddon a . But just because Hollywood can make a movie really do not mean it to be a viable threat, right?

Well, not exactly. NASA recently reported that an asteroid will come to a spitting distance from Earth, but on the basis of new information, it might come even more than that.

Earlier this year, NASA researchers have spotted an asteroid that is roughly the size of a large yacht zipping toward Earth. In fact, this asteroid (which is 100 feet in diameter) is slightly larger than that which exploded over Chelyabinsk, Russia, in 2013.
