During the fall, thousands of Americans come with influenza. During the winter, thousands more colds different varieties. During the spring, more people suffer from respiratory allergies. It seems there is never a time of year when people are not sick and the risk of spreading their germs everywhere.
If you fear that you come down with something and you do not want to spread your germs to others, here's how to know if you are contagious or not.
Influenza

influenza is at its most contagious the day before a week after its onset. Symptoms include pain, fever, and probably a very sore throat.
The common cold

common cold viruses are one of the most common diseases that people can get. Cold symptoms include runny nose, cough, sore throat and sometimes watery eyes. You are most contagious for about a week before going down with a cold and you are not out of the woods until all symptoms have cleared.
Respiratory allergies

If you have allergies, you're in luck & mdash; you are not contagious at all! But this does not mean that you will not suffer the symptoms of colds and flu. Constant sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, and difficulty breathing are all signs of allergies.

now that we've cleared that you will know when you are contagious and when you should stay home. You do not want to infect others at work or school, it is best to stay home if you are feeling under the weather.
