The crown is made of plasma, but for some reason it is hotter than the surface of the sun itself. The surface of the Sun is about 5800 degrees Kelvin, but the crown can reach 1-3 million Kelvin. It's really hot.

So there you have it. The universe is a mysterious place, with still more things to discover and unravel. Perhaps in the future we will have the answers to these mysteries bizarre, but until then, we'll enjoy being puzzled!
