The April 16, 2014, the ferry MV sinking of the mv sewol capsized off the coast of South Korea.
Among the 476 people aboard the ship made its way to a lunch in Jeju, South Korea, 304 lost their lives. The most tragic of all, many of them were students from high school Danwon in Ansan City.
The event has left entire communities reeling, and in the following days, the evidence mounted against the captain, crew and Yoo Byung-eun, who owned the company responsible for operation of the ship. He immediately fled, and despite exhaustive research, it has never been held responsible for the negligence that has cost hundreds of lives that day.
While the passengers drowned along with the doomed ship, the crew left the scene.
