On 23 June 2016, the UK will hold a referendum to decide whether he will remain in the European Union.
there have been rumors of such a referendum for a while now, but Prime Minister David Cameron, under extreme pressure from conservative politicians in the United Kingdom, has officially announced that they will start working to decide whether or not they should keep their place in the EU.
This is fine, but it would be abandoning the UK (now Brexit) means for other nations around the world, including the United States?
Although the potential effects of the maneuver on Britain sit at the view, understand what it means for the rest of the world is a little more difficult.

According to experts, a huge negotiating free trade is in the works between the EU and the United States. It is an arrangement from which the U.K. would be prohibited. A divorce of this magnitude could really gum works.
and the European Union is not so hot right now financially. The loss of Britain can not bode well for the remaining nations, causing tensions to rise.

Europe can enter suppression mode in an attempt to prevent other nations to follow suit . This is where things started to get really difficult not only for Europe, but for States as well.
Loss solidarity across the EU could destroy what is without doubt a foreign policy maneuvers most successful ever implemented by United States.

Basically, if UK destabilizing the rest of the EU, European integration - which is a big part of the heritage of America abroad - could be stopped in its tracks

If the UK pulls the rug from under Europe, all hope of creating a European identity cohesion could out the window, leaving further isolated the United States. Britain is in many ways the arm with which America achieved in the European Union.
And quite frankly, it's an amputation we can not afford right now.

Americans are in the midst of one of the hottest presidential races of all time. Europe is facing a crisis at every turn. The fact that the UK feels like hobbling also a union which is the treatment of the Middle East issues, in Africa and in its own territories do not help much. This could make the geopolitical conflicts confronting the Americans even more difficult to manage.
If the EU is forced to focus on the internal problems, which leaves America itself.

While European leaders are focusing on the disintegration, the US government may have to face yet more international burden. destabilized regions worldwide could lose the support of European countries in the process, leaving the weight of these responsibilities with us again.
