In 1883, three Canadian Pacific Railway construction workers discovered some something incredible is nestled in the chain of the Alberta Rocky Mountains.
On an eastern slope, they found a cave containing hot springs. Today, these pools are known as the birthplace of Canada's national parks. Banff National Park, the first in the country and third in the world, increased from just a small pool in a massive destination covering 2,564 square miles.
But if you think everything worth seeing the beautiful attraction of the North is the turquoise waters of Lake Louise, think again.
This is the Cave and Basin where Banff began.
