You might not notice them at first, but if you start to pay attention to commercials, magazine ads and billboards, you will start to see the same faces again and even. Models, billed as the most beautiful people in the world, selling everything from cheeseburgers to lingerie, and once you learn them, their faces are almost impossible to ignore.
And the super models today are not unprecedented. A woman named Audrey Munson is known as the first supermodel of the world, and although his life was full of opulence and glamor, history has led to the tragedy.
In a part eye-opening The New York Post , journalist Reed Tucker details the events that led to the world-famous Munson travel and in darkness.

Some say it started with a walk on Broadway while. was walking one day in 106, Munson, who was 15 at the time, was arrested by a photographer.

other accounts say she was struck by a car and made famous by the photographer sitting inside. in all cases, Munson rose to fame at an early age. After being introduced the artist Isidore Konti, the young woman has found tremendous success as a model.
the creators have traveled around the world for sound insight. They came in droves to hire him. You might not have known his name before this point, but if you've ever admired the sculptures and fountains around New York City, you've probably seen her face.

The figure in this sculpture to an inlet south of Central Park, for example, was modeled after Munson. During his illustrious career, she has inspired many works of art and has appeared in a number of films. In fact, one of her scenes in the movie 1915 Inspiration entered into history as the first display of nudity in a non-pornographic production.
But everything changed when Audrey Munson is entangled in the web of a notorious crime. Dr. Walter Keene, who was once the owner of the model, murdered his wife. People began to speculate that he killed her because he wanted to marry Munson.

The doctor was eventually found guilty and realized. All of this negative publicity effectively broke the career and reputation of Munson, so she left Manhattan to live with his mother in a small town in upstate New York. His mental condition deteriorated rapidly, and she attempted suicide in 1922 by an overdose of mercury dichloride. After that it was committed to an asylum in Ogdensburg.
And that is where she died in 1996. By that time, however, the world had all but forgotten the woman who paved the way for each model thereafter.

While we're more than willing to consume their work, we often fail to think about life behind the famous beautiful faces. Quick spiral Audrey Munson in the dark says less about her and more about the nature of consumption, not only in the early 20th century, but today.
