Being able to recognize these 10 symptoms of cancer could save the life of your dog -

Working through cancer with a loved one is not easy. The pain and suffering must be endured is immense and incredibly taxing on the whole family. The gravity of the situation, however, may be reduced if you catch things in their early stages. But if you're a dog, you can not exactly call the doctor when something is sore ... so the responsibility to identify signs of cancer in pooches falls on you, the owner.

Here are 10 symptoms that could indicate that your puppy has cancer:

1. Swollen lymph nodes

lymphoma, a common cancer causes these glands to swell. You will notice if they are swollen by those most easily under the jaw or behind the knee, but you should get your puppy biopsy or cytology for confirmation if you are worried!

2. Lumps

Everyone knows to look out bumps on themselves as a precaution against cancer, but this is also true for your puppy. While lipomas (under the skin fat deposits) are fairly common in dogs, it is always a good idea to have a doctor take a look at any new or changing bumps on the skin of your dog.

3. abdominal distension

If the belly of your dog is suddenly looking round or too swollen, it may be a lump or mass in this area. It may also be bleeding, so you should get your dog an ultrasound or radiography ASAP.

4. Weight loss

If you do not reduce your dog's diet and he or she is losing weight fast, it could be a sign that cancer takes a toll on their bodies. To be safe, take them to your veterinarian because it could be a sign of a series of health problems, not just cancer.

5. Vomiting or diarrhea

in addition to just be an unpleasant experience for your pet, chronic vomiting and diarrhea could be a sign that your puppy has a tumor in their gastrointestinal tract. But, again, nobody wants to be in this situation, so get the dog to a doctor!

6. Unexplained bleeding

While some dogs will suffer from bleeding disorders, they are usually diagnosed at a young age. If your dog is bleeding inexplicably take in consideration immediately because it could be a sign of cancer.

7. Coughing

you must bring your dog in a chest X-ray if you notice a dry cough, especially in puppies. There is a chance that it will take more than just a nap to start their cough.

8. Lameness

bone cancer often cause lameness in dogs, especially large breeds such as mastiffs. If your puppy has trouble moving, to take snapshot right away!

9. Trouble urinating

Although it is not too uncommon for dogs to develop urinary tract infections (especially in men), these can be treated with antibiotics. If your pet is always tense when he urinates, or if there is blood in the urine, you should schedule a biopsy of the bladder with your vet as soon as you can. Bladder cancer may be the root of the problem.

10. breath Dog

oral tumors cause your kibble-loving puppy to go completely wet food, and they will make it difficult for them to chew. They will also cause your dog's mouth to the rancid smell, so if your dog seems picky about their food, chewing is strangely, or has a severe case of dog breath, oral examination, including x-rays or scanner is that the doctor will order.

Old age is sure to bring at least minor issues for your puppy, but if you are informed, you can avoid total chaos and a lot of pain. Keep an eye on this dog, and be sure to schedule regular reviews with your veterinarian!
