The world is a dangerous place, and no one really disputes this. Some of the things that people care about tend to be more realistic tragedies such as terminal illness, natural disasters and car accidents. One thing that most people never think, however, was struck and killed by a meteor.
Meteors hitting the Earth all the time, but usually they are just tiny rocks when they reach the surface. Moreover, they rarely arrive near populated areas ... until now, that is.
Last week, the campus of Bharathidasan Engineering College in Tamil Nadu, India was shaken when a meteor appeared on a clear sky.

The meteor landed and left a crater four feet on the edge of campus. In the explosive landing, bus driver V. Kamaraj was unfortunately killed.

At present, it is not known exactly how Kamaraj was killed by the meteor. Police are still investigating the official cause of death.
Even though he died, Kamaraj is for posthumous fame, since he is the second person to be killed by a meteor in history. The first death happened in 1825.

Fortunately, the explosion of the impact was significantly lower that of Tunguska in Siberia that took place in 108.

The really scary part of this story is that 'there is really no way to protect against the threat of meteors. I do not think a helmet would do much.
