Regarding the resolution of crimes, then all the police are now and not enough to bring the right people to justice. Sometimes they need the help of civilians who endanger (unwittingly or not) to learn the truth. This is the exact situation that the father of Redditor BlueTarpHorror was in the back in 2014.
The story begins in spring 2014.

BlueTarpHorror's father, Bill, ran an auto shop on top of a hill overlooking a creek and mountain running. It was near the end of a quarter and things were slow so he came out for a quick walk. Halfway down the hill, Bill spotted a large blue tarp with something wrapped inside. He was about to enter when a customer pulled and he had to get back to work. It was only the next day that he learned what was inside that tank.
The next day, several police officers arrested in the store and began to ask questions as to whether anyone had seen anything suspicious recently time.

Bill decided to charm and to understand what was happening. Finally, he got the police to say they had found a body wrapped in a blue tarp down by the current. They asked Bill a few questions, and then returned to the crime scene to conclude their investigation. The above photo was taken by Bill on the window of his shop while police finished.
A few days later, the officers returned to ask Bill of video security camera that night.

Although the data has been transferred, the bill continued to pump agents for more information. Apparently, a middle-aged man was stabbed to death. Then, the bill had a breakthrough. Bill and a colleague decided to head to the creek to look for clues. They followed the water for a while, and finally got to the point where it was deep and fast moving. that's when Bill spotted a Lowe's cart out of the water. "I take that to the store," he thought ran to pull him out of the current. However, after he and colleague carried the basket out of the current, they stopped dead in their tracks. There was dried blood around the basket.

Bill called the cops and they came and took the new piece of evidence to test and see if the blood on the carriage adapted to the victim. This time, again urged the police bill to check the house full summary neighbors next door, but they continued to shrug his shoulders.

the next day, the police arrived to interview neighbors and found a huge blood stain on the floor of the House. That's when residents broke down and confessed everything. Apparently, the victim, named Rich, had gone to their house to get high. However, a dispute broke out and someone stabbed. Donald Decker, pictured above, and his girlfriend used the basket Lowe to carry the body down the hill and left the cart in the river. Decker was arrested and convicted for the murder. He is serving a sentence of 45 years in prison.

Now that a heck of a story. Most times when people decide to investigate the crimes themselves, they become victims. At least this time it seemed to work well.
