We've all been there. You might have sworn someone said it was going to be a clear day and you wore light shoes and no jacket. Now you're drenched and shivering under a heavy gray sky.
If only you had a way to actually predict the weather, right? Well, the good news - you can! With just a balloon, a straw, a pot and a few rubber bands, you can build your own barometer to measure pressure in the atmosphere, which is part of the forecast storms.
This is what your high-tech measuring device weather will look like.

Of course, this barometer will give you a general reading the pressure of the atmosphere. Do not expect to be 100% accurate all the time, but it should give you an idea of whether or not it is going to rain or storm, and give you a head to which the shoes you should wear. Is there anything more important in the end?
