As the old TV show House taught us, it there are a variety of medical problems there that we do not know. While Dr. House may be fiction, some of the diseases and conditions described on the show are too real.
The freakiest medical conditions may not be life threatening. They just happen to ruin people's quality of life. Take the condition known triphalangeal inch, for example.

As you can imagine, this is an extremely rare condition. In fact, it affects one in 25,000 people. Doctors believe that TPT is at least partly hereditary, but researchers are still looking for other possible explanations.
