It seems that nothing will stop Google to document their world via Google Maps Street View. The latest addition is a street view of the Liwa desert in Abu Dhabi. However, this is not the same cool part.
The company has not used Jeeps or backpackers to capture the landscape. Instead, Google has decided to use camels with Street View Trekkers society mounted on the back. The result is a bit unbelievable 360 degree photograph of one of the most remote areas of the world.
No. Joke.
This is a camel with the Street View camera strapped to his back.
Google says that the choice was made to use camels for the captured images are more authentic and minimize environmental impact.
While many may congratulate Google for their decision to use camels instead of jeeps, PETA accused them of animal abuse.
Whatever your feelings on this are, you can not deny the amazing result of camel Street View.
This is simply breathtaking.
Because photos are taken from the sight of a camel, you can get an idea of how it is to travel through the desert traditionally.
In the desert Liwa Liwa oasis is, which is the largest oasis in the whole of the Arabian Peninsula.
You can explore the oasis also.
More camel. Maybe they will be recruited for the next time Street View duty.
