Thousands of children are born each year with debilitating medical conditions that they have to face throughout their lives and mdash; and many of these lives are tragically cut short by complications.
The brave boy was born with a rare condition that makes his skin fall at the slightest touch, causing painful blisters and bleeding. There is no cure for the rare disease, and for this 14-year-old, life could not be more complicated. His days and nights are spent in constant physical pain. But what is truly an inspiration
is that it rises above perpetual agony of living life to the fullest. Even if his life is filled with pain and anxiety, he still finds joy. Many people are quick to pity for what he has not, but it is more focused on the celebration of what he not have. There is an incredible message of optimism that pervades the story of Jonathan, and it is one that we should all take to heart.
