Many of the most important sites in Thailand are off the beaten track, that is, not accessible by roads and cars.
So when Google Street View would add more points of interest in their coverage of the country, there were very few options. Measuring nearly 0 square miles, it is almost impossible to imagine all these things, but Google was determined to capture it.
They recruited people to visit these most difficult to reach areas, with large backpacks holding many cameras. One man in particular is responsible for the majority of coverage in Thailand. His name is Panupong Luangsa-ard and it is a Thai triathlete.
Google believes that Luangsa-ard walked nearly 500 km (which is more than 300 miles).

Luangsa-ard has traveled to distant places such as ancient temples, tropical beaches, plantations of strawberries and rice terraces.
Thanks to the dedication Luangsa-ard and other trekkers, Google was able to add plenty of places to view their capacity in the country.
The project took nearly two years.
And he did it while wearing the backpack 40lb.
