That's why Pantone & mdash; a leading color technology and strong design & mdash; decided to team up with the creators of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago to turn wet, dreary streets of the bustling city exuberant works of art.

Each piece is created with hydrochromatic pigments. They are applied like ordinary paint, but they become invisible once they dry. The only thing that can bring them back to life is water.
