Even after countless books, films and television shows have been written and produced on World War II, there is still so much that those of us on the outside do not know.
From the lost identity of a man who changed the tide of the war in the disappearance of a high-ranking Nazi, here are some of the biggest mysteries of World War II.

Some reports say that M? Ller was spotted in Cuba and Argentina after. At one point, a man in Panama named Francis Willard Keith was considered M? Ller him. Even M? Ller's wife thought it was him! Unfortunately, scanning fingerprints proved that this was not the case.

Even after Admiral D? nitz ordered the end of the war, German submarine U-530 was not aware. Instead, he traveled to Mar del Plata, Argentina, and finally himself gave the Argentine Navy. The thing to suspect this trade is the captain of the submarine, Otto Wermuth, refused to explain why it took them two months to go to Argentina, why they have dismantled their own deck gun, why the crew had no identification, or why there was no record on the boat. Some speculate that their secret covered ferrying high-ranking Nazis in South America, including Adolf Hitler himself.

Filled with beautiful panels of amber and gold of inestimable value, the room was considered the eighth wonder of the world ... until the Second World War, when the room and the rest of Catherine Palace was attacked by the Nazis.
While some thought that the room was taken at K? Konigsberg for display, it actually disappeared from the face of the Earth. A replica was built in 03, but the original's fate is unknown.

When the fallen soldier with the map of "Major Martin" identity washed ashore in Punta Umbr? a, Spain, the Germans thought they had stumbled upon a game changer. Operation Mincemeat was a success, but the true identity of Major Martin is still a mystery. There are those who believe it was John "Jack" Melville, a sailor who died in the explosion of HMS Dasher. Others say he was an alcoholic homeless Wales named Glyndwr Michael.
Herschel Grynszpan

on November 7, 1938, a young Jewish refugee named Herschel Grynszpan shot vom Rath Nazi diplomat Ernst in Paris. This assassination provided the Nazis the pretext to start the Kristallnacht program, which effectively began the Holocaust into high gear.
Grynszpan almost escaped, but the Nazis seized when they invaded France. His trial was supposed to be a symbol of Jewish betrayal, but because of the war, he continued to be postponed. If Grynszpan survived the war at all, he came to the family or friends. He was last seen in 1943.

To date, no one really knows.

Between 1939 and 1943, Glenn Miller was a recording artist bestseller whose most notable tracks include "Moonlight Serenade," "Pennsylvania 6-5000" and "Chattanooga Choo Choo." While traveling to entertain troops in France during the Second World War, his plane mysteriously disappeared over the English Channel. It has some there who believe that the aircraft crashed due to faulty equipment, but there is another strange theory that he was accidentally hit by a bomb from an Allied plane.

Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg seems determined to cover all aspects of the war in a series of films nominated for Oscars but the fact that there are still so many unsolved mysteries of this dark nice time in history suggests that there is really no way to examine everything. After all, dead men do not talk.
