City Skylines superb far look, but when we pulled off this magnificent sense of removal and thrown into the fray, these views give way to gritty street corners and gum-covered sidewalks.
That being said, there is something transformation of urban photography. Instead of capturing the inspiring views of cityscapes postcard worthy of further, these designers get up close and personal with grit and grime to present it to us in a more flattering light.
And more often than they succeed to do this. They turn merged subway tiles with dirty grout into works of art. They turn gooey pavers visions we understand as being beautiful.
But this is not a photograph. Artist Ryan Monahan does not point the camera lens at brick walls, lying on the cold floor to immortalize coffee cups crushed, or take pictures of the booths on the block. Not for this series, anyway.
Instead, he builds tiny worlds that combine the complexity of miniature sculpture with the aesthetics of urban photography.
As he explains on his website "the majority of my works, except for one or two rooms, are all structures and fictitious companies created by me That & rsquo; from the. art! "
It was created art since he "could contain anything that left a mark," and with the creation of these miniatures, he dabbles in fine arts and graphic design. His sculpture work has attracted the most attention, however, and you do not need me to tell you why.
"the process can take several weeks or months to complete, depending on the complexity of the part," he wrote. "with miniatures, there are a lot of little details involved."
Monahan's unique approach to city life and urban art proves that even the smallest changes of perspective can completely change the way we experience the world around us.
