The FBI has recently closed the books on one of the greatest mysteries of all time, but not in how you 'd think. The agency issued its final conclusion about the man known only as D. B. Cooper, who stole an impressive $ 0,000 and then vanished into thin air ... literally.

That day a man named Cooper entered the Portland International airport and bought himself a ticket to Seattle. Once aboard the plane, Cooper passed a note to a flight attendant to inform him that he had a bomb in his suitcase. He showed it to her to prove her point, she recalled later.
In exchange for the lives of those on board, Cooper demanded $ 0,000, four parachutes, and a fuel truck up to Seattle for refuel the plane when it landed.

After the disappearance of Cooper, the FBI launched a manhunt. When he started, there seems to be some promising leads, but the trail went cold fast.
In 1980, a family on vacation in the desert found several packets of cash corresponding to the serial numbers of the bills given to Cooper. A thorough search of the area turned up no new clues.

Unfortunately, no new tracks, this month, the FBI took the unprecedented step of formally declaring the mystery of DB Cooper irresolute and closed the case.
