The Cold War is now a distant memory for most people, but there was a time when the total destruction could have devastated whole nations at any time.
when recording everyone was an unlikely scenario if nuclear war did break out, US government officials decided they would try. During the early years of the Cold War, they installed hundreds of air raid sirens in major cities throughout the country.
